Update Option set automatically after update template
Henrik Bladh
Right know if i update my template with another dynamic vector i have to manually update the option set with the new option. I also have to manually create the swatches (convert vector to png).
Or i have to create a whole new option set from the updated template. If i do so i have to rename all options and do all the settings like "show when option is selected" and so on.
Would be great if i could generate the new option from the update in the template in the option set already in use.
To be more specific. If i add a new dynamic vector in the template i would like the option in the option set to be automatically created with swatches and everything like it is done when i create a whole new option set from a template.

Hello! There's some exciting news regarding the needs expressed in this thread. A new functionality has been introduced, allowing you to effortlessly create Option(s) within the Option Set by selecting an element from a Template.
This function automatically generates the Option(s) for the chosen element, complete with corresponding swatches and the associated library when the element is linked to one.

This would be great! The layouts in our templates are always being updated to keep up with design trends. We have complex option sets, so having to redo them each time a layout is added or removed is very inefficient. With how long setup takes for a template, it is very important that the update process to be much smoother and less time consuming. Most companies do not have the time to constantly be redoing work in customily. ps. Not just for images and clip art, vectors need love too.
If there is a technical limitation to the above....make the option set functionality part of the template, this way we can make sure the templates, layouts, options sets and conditional logic are in sync in one place.

Hello Henrik Bladh, thank you for your post. The behavior you've explained is very clear. We will consider it carefully as we improve the Template-Option synchronization behavior.

Augusto D'Amario: Much appreciated :)

Augusto D'Amario: As an edition to above request it would be really nice if the names of the template element adapts into the option set when this is created from the template.
At the moment when creating an option set from template i get like: Text 2, text 3, Vector 22 (Swatch) and so on.
Also would be serious great if file name of the images is adapted. For an example Swatch values under a Vector Swatch. The value should be named after the file name.

Hello Henrik Bladh! In relation to this, bear in mind that the names of the options are derived from the names of the layers in the template. You can rename¹ in the template before creating the options set.
It's true; if you later update the name of the layer, the name of the corresponding option doesn't get updated.

Augusto D'Amario: Thanks for feedback.
As i remember it worked exactly like you describe but now when i create templates with all layers named as i like them, the name is not derived into the option set any more? Do i miss something?
Augusto D'Amario
Henrik Bladh: When creating the Option Set from Templates, the Set labels are initially derived from the names of the Template layers.
However, any subsequent changes made to the layer names do not automatically update the corresponding labels within the option set.
This is the issue prompting our discussion here.

Augusto D'Amario: Thanks Augusto, i realized that. And made a ticket instead regarding the names don't derive. They are looking in to it :)
